Taiwanese Chipsmaker Mediatek has just introduced another chips in its P Series this one is titled “Helio P25”, Much details about the new chipset was not released during it’s introduction in 2016, We just get a hint up of the new chips, Probably an upgrade to it’s predecessor.
Mediatek Helio P25 importantly supports dual camera – more pixels than the Helio P20, It support either 24MP lone camera or Dual 13MP Camera with fascinating features like the noise reduction feature, different color options such black and white intelligent dual camera and finally real-time depth of field effect.
According to Jeffry Ju – The executive president of Mediatek in regards to the release of the new SoC
“MediaTek Helio P25 paves the way for high-resolution and feature-rich smartphone cameras that enable amazing static shots and 4K2K videos. Supporting two cameras up to 13MP each, the MediaTek Helio P25 redefines expectations for mobile photography and our multimedia features like MediaTek MiraVision technology, continuously enhance visual user-experiences.”
The new chipset also bring about 25% in battery reduction just like it’s predecessor having 16nm FinFet manufacturing process. Moreover talking about the specs side, Helio P25 is powered with an Octa-Core processor patched with 8 Cores, All of the 8 cores is supported with Cortex – A53 at a clocked speed of 2.5GHz ~ 0.2GHz more than Helio P20.
Another upgrade we’ve seen so far is the improved low power double data rate random access memory (LPDDR4x), Mediatek Helio P25 supports up-to 6GB, for more fascinating user experience Helio P25 has an improved bandwith up to 70% while reducing the memory’s power needs for energy-efficient multitasking.
Just like the Helio P20, Helio P25 GPU Features Mali-T880 MP2 at a clocked speed of 900MHz, the new SoC is expected to circulate among mobile manufacturers in First Quarter of 2017.
